Highlights
More information
Olive oil is central to Spanish food culture, and there’s no better way to learn about it than to meet it at its source.
In this private guided experience, you’ll tour a traditional olive oil estate — an “almazara” — with a member of the family who has owned and operated it through several generations.
Explore the historic mill, the modern processing plant, an on-site museum, and the scenic groves, unfolding views of the countryside and Andalusian farmhouses. Your guide will share how the olives are cultivated and processed to create the highest quality extra virgin olive oil.
Cap off your experience with a blind tasting of several oils so you can learn to distinguish the quality level and flavor notes, with guidance from a professional oleologist.
At the end of the tasting, you’re welcome to browse the store if you wish to take home any of the small-batch olive oils you tried.
