How long can I stay inside the Met?
There’s so much to see at the Met! During your guided introduction, you will get helpful tips and context that will help maximize your experience. You’re completely on your own once you enter the museum, so feel free to stay as long as you’d like. Most guests spend around two hours inside, though you could easily spend 3-4.

When should I get there?
This experience starts promptly. We suggest arriving 30 minutes early as there will be a line for the security check before you can meet your guide inside the Met. If time allows, you can stop by coat check before you meet your guide. If you miss your guided intro, you can still pick up your ticket at will call.
Are gratuities included?
Tips aren’t included but are always appreciated by our guides. If you think your guide did an outstanding job, a tip is a great way to show that.
